The fifteen property Southwest Self Storage Portfolio consists of primarily institutional-quality self storage facilities in Colorado, Texas, Arizona and California. The portfolio features 861,367 rentable square feet of self storage space and 6,800 storage units, currently 86.4% occupied. The overall portfolio achieved strong leasing momentum in 2012 and is positioned for increased revenue growth. The facilities represent well-known and respected brands in their communities. The properties feature retail locations with high barriers-to-entry located on major thoroughfares with excellent visibility and signage.

$41 Million Portfolio Sale
MJ Partners Self Storage Group represented JSM Venture, Inc, in the sale of five self storage properties, including one location with a new Walmart Express store in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood. Four properties were acquired by Sovran Self Storage, a public self storage REIT based in Buffalo, New York, and one property, near Loyola University, was sold to Chicago-based Harrison Street Real Estate’s Core Property Fund. All of the self storage properties will be rebranded as Uncle Bob’s Self Storage.
